Not too shabby, I must say. Provided there aren’t any stupid injuries picked up in pre-season I think we’ve got an interesting season start. It’s always to start with a home game, and a relatively ’safe’ one at that. Last season wasn’t particularly great for Forest, and a 3pointer could get us off to a flyer. Then Burton in the Carling Cup (again at home) which on paper is another comfy win before the tough meeting between two title-challengers, the Magpies at their ground. Hopefully by then they’ll have lost a few of their top-flight players and we can give them a run for their money. At the other end of the spectrum, Preston on the last day might be a repeat of last season, whereby a win could mean promotion. Fortunately it’s at our ground, and if the atmosphere matches that of the Birmingham game last finale day, then the team will certainly be pumped up for it.

I’ve altered this one to that on the site to predominantly domestic fixtures, cause we know what Reading have been like cup-wise. This is something I hope Rogers and the new ‘era’ will change. Obviously the League is our main priority but Cups provide extra special feats (c. Burnely/Barnsley the past two years) and I’d love to see Reading up there trying.

Until next time!
